Rick Bernard James is a devoted family man, who has been married 18 years to his wife Tonya. They are the proud parents of four lovely daughters, Jillian, Kaila, Mia, and Taylor. The three youngest, while featured on James' debut project “TODAY” singing, 'God Will Take Care of You', make their more formal soloing debut, on the “Tell Me About Him” project, singing the infectious children's song “G.O.O.D God”. James' oldest daughter Jillian Robbins, resides in Houston, Texas and is a Marketing Representative for the WNBA's Houston Comets Organization. She also plans to play professional basketball in Europe during the fall.

James says of having all girls, “I did everything, I could, to have a boy (laughing)… but God’s divine plan was apparently for me to father and develop strong, intelligent, and beautiful women. So realizing God knows what is best for me, I am trying to do all I can to honor Him, and to be a good steward of these wonderful young women, whom I am blessed to have in my life. They are all very talented and gifted in their own right, and they bring so much joy and inspiration to my life. I would not dare ask for more!”

Of James’ wife Tonya, he states she keeps him grounded and is responsible for the joy in his life that enables him to aspire to be all that God has created him to be. He proclaims that so much of what he has become and hopes to be, is a result of her commitment, unconditional love and support over the years. “She is an extraordinary woman, truly a gift from God made just for me”

Rick Bernard James’ commitment and devotion to his wife, daughters, and family is clearly evident when you see them together. You also can see the pride in the CD family photos.
